Jacob's Well Care Centre is a charity
run by local people for the local community, we rely on
donations, whether it's time, money or furniture.
If you are in a position to donate then please do so -
every penny counts and goes towards helping those in
need in our own community.
Before you leave this page, why not read a
couple of our short
stories, they help tell the reasons why we do what
we do, please be a part of it and help change local lives
for the better. Thank you!
How can YOU donate
to Jacob's Well?
By standing order.
By donating your unwanted furniture and white goods (someone will find a use for them!) Call us on 02392-583050 to talk to one of our drivers or to arrange a collection.
By visiting our Store Cupboard and donating un-opened (in date) food - anything that helps to feed those who might otherwise go hungry. Check out our Store Cupboard page for more details.
Do any big businesses make donations? Yes they do, for more details visit our Corporate Sponsors page.
The furniture rescue service is a new
service run by Jacob's Well. Our idea, as always
is to use what we can and not throw anything/or very
little away. This service is for furniture that
we cannot sell or give away and has possibly seen
better days. We try our best to re-purpose these
items. We can offer a take away same day
service, there will however be a small charge, please
either call us or
ask the driver for more details.
How can YOU volunteer at Jacob's Well?
We love our volunteers! Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community, it's also a great way to get back into work and perhaps learn some new skills - and don't forget all those new friends you'll make. You don't need to be a space scientist to volunteer, just have a little time on your hands that you can give to us in order for us all to give back to the community.
Feel rewarded - Using your time to give something back feels amazing. Each one of our volunteers makes a real difference to the lives of other people.
Meet like-minded people - Our volunteers are as diverse as our roles. Volunteering is a great way to meet other people with similar interests within your community.
Use your skills to help others - Whether you want to put your existing skills to good use or learn something new, we have a range of roles that might interest you.
Flexible - Whether you can give minutes, hours, or days, our volunteer roles are designed to fit around your available time.
