Back to Work
Wanting to get back to work?
Whether you are retired, been made redundant or just wanting to get back to work for any reason, we can help. We not only help our volunteers realise their potential, but also offer work placements for many organisations - DO NOT LET ANYTHING BE A BARRIER!
We understand that there can sometimes seem to be many barriers to getting back to work:
- TOO YOUNG
- TOO OLD
- NOT ENOUGH QUALIFICATIONS
- TOO MANY QUALIFICATIONS
- FAMILY PRESSURE
- PROBATION/PRISON RECORD
Don't let anything stop you from trying.
As Princess Diana said -
"Everyone needs to be valued, everyone has the potential to give something back". - Princess Diana
Volunteering is a great way to start, no matter where or for whom you volunteer it will help get you into or back into a rhythm, a place to go to, to learn new skills, meet new people and add a very important element to your CV. If you're interested, give us a call, we love our volunteers!
Your local Job Centre Plus can help direct you towards some websites, or try a simple Google search, for example: 'admin jobs' - you'll get a whole list of employment agencies. Normally these agencies will ask you to upload a CV, if you are having trouble with writing your CV there are many websites that can help you - for example: www.cvhelp.co.uk. If possible take your CV to your local Job Centre Plus and ask them to give you advice, after all it's their job to find you a job!
IMPORTANT: NEVER SEND ANY MONEY TO ANYONE FOR FEES OR UPFRONT COSTS, IF YOU COME ACROSS SUCH A SCAM REPORT IT TO CITIZENS ADVICE OR THE POLICE.
Remember, you can come in and chat to us, tell us your story and we can see if we can help put something together.
